New Microfiber Wash Mitts and Scrubber Pads!

We're proud to introduce two new products, the Microfiber Wash Mitt and the Microfiber Scrubber Pad! Today, Capt. Sam McGinley breaks down the differences between microfiber and other cleaning tools, where they fit in your detailing arsenal, and the best ways to take care of them.

First off, what makes "microfiber" special? This textile is specially designed to lift and trap material, as opposed to a traditional terry cloth. It does this by greatly increasing the surface area of the material via the orientation of the individual fibers. In short, microfiber products are softer, absorb more, and stay "clean" for a longer period of time.

Now, why would you use a Microfiber Mitt or Pad over a traditional lambs wool product? While lambs wool is very soft, it's more aggressive and potent when it comes to cleaning, but not as gentle. When only the softest material will do, reach for the new Microfiber Wash Mitt. They are perfect for cleaning the isinglass, custom paint, or other finishes that require a gentle touch. Use them to prevent scratches and keep your most sensitive surfaces looking brand new for years to come.

When it comes to taking care of these new tools, or any microfiber products, there are a few rules you'll need to follow. When it comes to washing, only use the "cold" water setting.  Additionally, make sure to only use "Free" detergents that have no softener or scents in them. Those additives will clog the towel and make them less effective. Finally, never throw a microfiber towel in the dryer. Instead, only let them air dry. The dryer will get too hot and actually melt the textile, rendering it ineffective.

And that's it! Two great new products to help keep your boat, car, truck, or RV Clean-N-Simple!
