3-in-1 Boat Hook – The Ultimate Dockside Tool

Meet the ultimate Boat Hook, designed with three essential functions in one smart tool. This versatile attachment features a traditional hook for grabbing lines and rings, a line-carrying rack for guiding dock lines, and a center push-off for safely and easily pushing away from the dock.

Built to work with all Shurhold handles using the trusted SHUR-LOK quick-release system, it snaps on securely and is ready when you need it most.

  • 3-in-1 design: hook, line guide, and push-off

  • Snaps into all Shurhold handles (sold separately)

  • Durable and reliable for everyday docking tasks

One tool. Three functions. Endless docking confidence.

10 Surprising Uses for a Boat Hook

10 Surprising Uses for a Boat Hook

A boat hook is one of the most useful tools onboard—but it’s far more versatile than many realize. From docking to debris removal, the right boat hook can make boating safer and easier. Here's how:

1. Docking & Undocking

Grab lines, loop cleats, or push off pilings without leaning or risking damage.

2. Retrieving Overboard Items

Use the hook to snag hats, cushions, or gear. Some models allow tip attachments for extra versatility.

3. Managing Fenders

Place, adjust, or retrieve fenders with precision from the safety of the deck.

4. Grabbing Mooring Buoys

Snag lines or pickup sticks easily with a strong, extendable hook.

5. Clearing Tangled Lines

Free snagged ropes or remove debris from around the hull or prop.

6. Assisting People or Pets

Act as a reach extender to help someone (or something) back onboard.

7. Holding Bridge or Lock Lines

Hook onto cables or vertical lines without scraping your boat.

8. Guiding Anchors or Trip Lines

Position anchor or safety lines while keeping hands and deck clear.

9. Removing Waterline Debris

Reach weeds or trash caught at the hull—especially with a longer pole.

10. Cleaning Hard-to-Reach Spots

Some boat hooks let you swap out the head for brushes, mops, or squeegees—great for saving space.

Boat Hook FAQ

What makes the Shurhold 3-in-1 Boat Hook the best for boaters?

The Shurhold 3-in-1 Boat Hook is thoughtfully engineered for maximum functionality and durability in marine environments. Unlike traditional hooks, this tool integrates three essential functions into one sleek, molded head:

  • Perfect for grabbing dock lines, cleats, or mooring balls, and retrieving items that fall overboard.
  • Designed to securely hold and guide dock lines, making it easier to loop them over pilings or cleats with precision.
  • The flared, split-end design provides increased stability when pushing off from rounded surfaces, like pilings or buoys—preventing slips or skids that are common with conventional hooks.

This all-in-one design saves space on board while enhancing safety and control during docking or undocking.

2. Is the handle included with the boat hook?

No, the handle is sold separately—but for good reason. The 3-in-1 Boat Hook is part of the Shurhold SHUR-LOK System, which fits all Shurhold fixed-length or telescoping handles. This modular approach allows you to choose the ideal handle for your vessel’s size and storage space. Even better, the same handle can be used with over 40 other SHUR-LOK attachments—from brushes and mops to squeegees and scrubbers—helping you save space, reduce clutter, and lower costs without compromising performance.

3. How strong is the Shurhold boat hook?

The Shurhold 3-in-1 Boat Hook is built tough using high-impact polycarbonate, ensuring excellent strength without adding unnecessary weight. When paired with a Shurhold marine-grade aluminum handle—available in fixed or telescoping options—you get a highly durable, corrosion-resistant tool engineered for years of reliable, trouble-free use. Whether you’re pushing off pilings or retrieving heavy lines, this boat hook is designed to perform under real-world boating conditions.

What is the warranty if the boat hook breaks?

At Shurhold, we stand behind our products and your satisfaction. If you experience any issues or are not completely happy with your boat hook, we’ll replace it with a brand-new one—no questions asked. It’s part of our commitment to keeping your boating experience clean, simple, and worry-free.

Boat Hook comes in handy ,
Attachment hardly takes up any space & no need to carry a long pole just for a boat hook.
I have one or two always on the boat. The thing is they don’t float when the mates lose them Overboard! 🤪
