People love to be helpful. They help in a variety of ways, including dumping the soapy water over the side when you're done cleaning the boat. Then they look at you and say "Oops" when your bucket grate goes into the water with the soap and sinks out of site. It would be great if this was designed not to leave the bucket unless you want it to. I put a tether on mine but I think someone who designs such great products could come up with a more elegant solution. They could also make them float. Anyway, it's a great product but if you're using on the water I would take a piece of string and tie it to the grate on one end and the handle on the other.

The product is great. I just wish it can float. Unfortunately I lost two when dumping the water after washing the boat. This time I’m attaching a float and ten foot string to retrieve it.

I've sent 2 of these to Davey Jones locker. Just ordered my third. Please design in some kind of retention mechanism on these. Too easy to dump a bucket of dirty soapy water over the side of the boat and forget this is in the bottom.
